“Speak Ya Truth” Contributes as Panelist In Local L.I. Documentary Discussion
There is a very important event happening TODAY, Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Suffolk County Community College’s Brentwood Campus. I, Vivett Dukes, on behalf of Speak Ya Truth, will be part of a panel on Criminal justice alongside Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon, Deputy-Commissioner Risco Mention-Lewis, Presidung Officer DuWayne Gregory, and Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre.
It promises to be an interesting, multi-tiered, multi-perspective conversation about criminal justice, oppression and policing framed around the contents of filmmaker Ava Duvernay’s documentary “13th”. Come join us TODAY at 6:00pm! I will do my best to livestream for those unable to attend.
As always, John, I, and the entire Speak Ya Truth community thank you for your support of and commitment to those fighting against mass incarceration on both sides of the wall.
